Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where is my rotation data stored?

Rotation data is stored locally on your device. Only when using the ranking feature, anonymous rotation data is sent to Apple's iCloud (CloudKit).

Q. Is the leaderboard anonymous?

Yes. The leaderboard only displays rotation counts. No usernames or personal information is shown.

Q. What happens to my ranking when I reset?

Long-pressing the reset button in settings resets both your local rotation count and your leaderboard score to 0.

Q. How do I change the haptic feedback style?

In settings, choose from 4 styles: Sharp, Soft, Heavy, or Click.

Q. The app isn't working properly?

Try closing and reopening the app, or update to the latest version of iOS and the app. If the issue persists, please contact us.

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how Detent ("the App") handles your information.

Information We Collect

• Rotation data: Your total rotation count is stored anonymously on Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) for the leaderboard feature.
• Anonymous identifier: An identifier automatically assigned by Apple, used to prevent duplicate leaderboard entries. It contains no personally identifiable information.
• Settings data: Wheel size, position, haptic style, and other preferences are stored locally on your device only.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell or share your information with third parties. Leaderboard data is publicly visible to all users in anonymous form.

Advertising

This app does not display ads.

Data Deletion

You can reset your leaderboard score to 0 using the reset button in the app. Deleting the app removes all locally stored settings.

Children's Privacy

This app is intended for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as needed. Changes will be posted on this page.
