Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Hamtime (the “App”) handles user information.
Information we collect and store
- Authentication: user identifier, email address, and sign-in provider information received when you sign in with Apple or Google.
- Profiles: owner nickname and image, and hamster names, bios, and profile images.
- Content and interactions: photos, videos, captions, hashtags, comments, sunflower-seed reactions, bookmarks, follows, notifications, blocks, and reports.
- Moderation: report status and records of content removal or account suspension.
- Advertising and device data: Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform may send IP address, device information, ad interactions, identifiers needed for ad delivery, and consent choices to Google and its advertising partners.
We collect this information when users register, post, or interact with the App; when Apple or Google provides authentication information; and automatically through advertising SDKs.
The App does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission and does not use IDFA. Google Mobile Ads Publisher First-Party ID is disabled, and ad requests are made as non-personalized ads.
How we use information
- To authenticate users and provide accounts.
- To provide posting, comments, follows, notifications, and related features.
- To prevent abuse, review reports, and keep the service safe.
- To serve ads, manage consent, and configure ad frequency.
- To answer support requests and investigate issues.
On-device translation
Translations of post text, comments, and hamster bios are processed on the user’s device using the iOS translation feature. The App does not send the text to our server for translation or store translated results on our server. Language models required for translation may be downloaded or managed by iOS.
Service providers and storage
- Google Firebase Authentication: Apple and Google sign-in.
- Google Firebase Remote Config: delivery of configuration such as whether ads are enabled and how often they appear.
- Google AdMob / User Messaging Platform: advertising and regional consent management.
- Cloudflare R2: private storage of uploaded videos, delivered through time-limited URLs.
- Our application server: account-linked profiles, posts, and interactions.
These providers handle information under their own privacy policies:
We require our service providers to protect user information to a standard consistent with this policy and applicable law.
Visibility and disclosure
Profiles, hamster information, posts, comments, and reaction counts are displayed to other users as part of the App. We do not sell or otherwise disclose user information except with consent, when required by law, or to service providers needed to operate the App.
Retention and deletion
We retain information while necessary to provide the service, comply with law, and prevent abuse. You can delete your own posts and comments from their in-app menus. You can delete your account and associated data after identity verification from “Settings” → “Delete Account” in the App. This removes profiles, hamster information, posts, photos and videos, comments, reactions, bookmarks, follows, and other associated data, except where retention is required by law or for security. If you need help with deletion, contact ryotaro.apps@gmail.com.
Withdrawing consent and privacy choices
You can change advertising consent from “Settings” → “Advertising Privacy Settings” in the App. You can stop the related use of information by deleting posts or comments or by deleting your account. For other consent withdrawals or privacy requests, contact ryotaro.apps@gmail.com.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and people under 13 may not use it. If we learn that we collected information from someone under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards including encrypted transport, token-based access control, expiring media URLs, and restricted administrative access.
Changes
We may update this policy as the App or applicable laws change. Material changes will be announced on this page or in the App.
